What Makes a Great Trampoline?

A trampoline is often the most popular piece of equipment in a playground. That’s why it needs to withstand intensive use, provide excellent bounce year after year, and encourage children to take just one more jump.
That’s why Rampline has chosen the Kids Tramp Playground trampolines from Eurotramp.

When designing motor skills parks, we set high standards for the trampolines we use. They must withstand intensive use year after year, provide an excellent user experience for children of all ages, and integrate naturally into a wider movement environment. That’s why we have chosen the Kids Tramp Playground series from the German manufacturer Eurotramp – a company that has been a leading supplier of trampolines for gymnastics, sports and public activity areas for more than 30 years.

In collaboration with Eurotramp, Rampline has developed PlayPro™, a robust natural rubber trampoline edge that creates a smooth and durable transition between the trampoline and the surrounding safety surfacing.

What We Look for in a Great Trampoline

Great Bounce Creates Better Play

A great trampoline inspires children to explore, challenge themselves and experience the joy of mastering new skills.

It should provide the same great experience year after year. That’s why both the frame construction and the lightweight, durable jumping mat are designed to retain their performance – even after years of intensive use.

In Rampline’s Motor Skills Parks, the trampoline rarely stands alone. Instead, it forms part of an activity trail, where one jump naturally leads to the next challenge. That’s why a trampoline with consistent, predictable bounce is so important.

The lightweight jumping mat delivers excellent bounce, even for the youngest children, while withstanding intensive use and year-round Nordic weather conditions. When a trampoline retains its bounce over time, it becomes a piece of equipment that children return to again and again.

The feeling of soaring through the air, trying new jumps and discovering that you can do a little more than last time is what makes trampoline play a favourite with children of all ages.

A Jumping Mat Designed for Intensive Use

The jumping mat is one of the most important components of a high-quality trampoline.

Its lightweight design provides excellent bounce, even for the youngest children, while being engineered to withstand years of intensive use.

The jumping mat offers several important advantages:

  • Lightweight construction for excellent bounce, even for lighter users.
  • Durable rubber-coated surface.
  • Designed for year-round outdoor use in Nordic climates.
  • Vandal-resistant construction with integrated steel cable reinforcement.
  • Small openings that minimise leaves and debris from falling into the trampoline pit.

PlayPro™ – A Robust Natural Rubber Trampoline Edge

PlayPro™ has been developed by Rampline in collaboration with Eurotramp.

Made from natural rubber, it creates a smooth and durable transition between the trampoline and the surrounding safety surfacing while protecting the trampoline’s steel frame.

PlayPro™ Offers Several Advantages

  • Protects users from the trampoline’s steel frame.
  • Protects the steel frame with a durable natural rubber edge.
  • Creates a smooth and durable transition to the surrounding safety surfacing.
  • Provides a clean and professional finish.
  • Withstands intensive use and wear.
  • Easy to install on all Kids Tramp Playground models.

PlayPro™ is designed for trampolines installed with fixed safety surfacing such as artificial turf, wet-pour rubber, Corkeen and ShockDeck™.

Trampoline Play – Also for Wheelchair Users

Our experience shows that trampolines are among the most popular playground activities – including for many children who use wheelchairs.

Eurotramp’s Kids Tramp Playground trampolines, combined with Rampline’s PlayPro™, provide a solid, smooth and predictable transition between the trampoline and the surrounding safety surfacing. This makes the solution well suited for many wheelchair users.

For inclusive playgrounds, we recommend the Square model. Its square design makes it easier to access the trampoline and provides a robust, user-friendly solution for children and young people who use wheelchairs.

Build to last

A trampoline in a public playground is used intensively. That’s why it should be just as easy to maintain as it is enjoyable to use.

Kids Tramp Playground is designed with replaceable components. Springs, the jumping mat and the PlayPro™ trampoline edge can all be replaced individually when worn, extending the trampoline’s service life and reducing maintenance costs.

When installed with ShockDeck™ safety surfacing, the entire trampoline can be inspected without removing the surrounding surfacing, making routine inspection and maintenance quicker and easier.
